Cinzia Di Nuzzo
Cinzia Di Nuzzo received the MSc degree in Mathematics at the University of Messina, Italy, and the PhD in Economics, Management and Statistics at the University of Messina, with a dissertation on model selection and mixture approaches in the spectral clustering algorithm. She has been research fellow at Sapienza University of Rome within a project on models and methods for the analysis and classification of high-dimensional transition and flow data. She is currently Assistant Professor (RTD-A) of Statistics at the Department of Economics and Business, University of Catania, where she also collaborates within the GRINS – Growing Resilient, INclusive and Sustainable project, focusing on methodological approaches for the construction of composite indicators.
Her research interests include classification and clustering, spectral clustering, multivariate statistics, dimensionality reduction methods, subspace clustering, low-rank matrix approximations, and the analysis of asymmetric data.
