Marina Cavalieri is Associate Professor of Public Finance. She holds a Laurea (BA) cum laude in Economics from the University of Florence (Italy), a PhD in Public Economics from the University of Catania (Italy) and a Master of Science Degree in Health Economics from the University of York (UK). She was Assistant Professor of Public Finance at the University of Catania for several years. Currently, she teaches Public Finance (Bachelor Degree in Business Administration) and Evaluation of Public Policies (Master Degree in Economics and Public Policies). She is president of the Master’s Degree Program in Economics and Public Policy and a member of the Academic Board of the PhD program in Economics, Management and Decision Making at the University of Catania. Since 2024, she has also been a member of the Executive Board of the Italian Society of Public Economics (SIEP).She has obtained the Italian National Scientific Qualification (ASN) for the role of Full Professor in Public Finance. Her research interests include health economics, cultural economics, public procurement, measurement of efficiency of public and private firms and public finance.
