She obtained a degree from the Department of Jurisprudence of the University of Catania.
She started the path of scientific research under the guidance of Prof. C. Turco, Ordinary of Private Law Institutions, Department of Economics and Business, having won the PhD in Private Law of the Economy. She deepened the research at the Boston University School of Law (Boston), under the guidance of Prof. Daniela Caruso, and at the Postner & Rubin study in New York, dedicating the issue of the extrajudicial resolution of disputes in contracts of duration and, in particular, in the construction contract.
In the Department of Economics and Business of the University of Catania She was first research assistant, then (to date) researcher confirmed, today Associate Professor. The rich and "special" family situation meant that the scope of the studies progressively embraced the subject of the destination of goods, of the trust (specifically, the "after Us"), making among other things treasury of Notarial studies conducted for a few years and, lastly, of the clinical trial's legal aspects. The research and teaching activity is also aimed at the protection of personal data and related applications.

She's a member of the editorial board of International Journal of Economics, Finance and Management Sciences.
